By virtue of the above judgment, the Court awarded compensation exceeding €3,300,000 against the Hellenic State and in favor of our client, for the expropriation of his property in the city of Kos for archaeological purposes, recognizing him as the rightful beneficiary of the compensation.
The Court held that the expropriated property was located in a highly developed tourist and commercial area, in a location deemed exceptional and particularly suitable for residential and commercial development.
A notable aspect of this decision is that the Court fully upheld our client’s claim regarding the amount of compensation sought.
