By virtue of this judgment, the Court provisionally awarded compensation of approximately €160,000 against the Hellenic State and in favor of our client, for the expropriation of his agricultural land undertaken for the regulation and demarcation of the Rafina stream.
The Court determined that the market value of the expropriated property was four times higher than that asserted by the State.
This decision is particularly noteworthy as the Court, in addition to awarding compensation for the expropriated portion of our client’s property, granted special compensation of up to 60% of the market value for the remaining land segments.
